A Win on Sunday at “The Glen” and Third
Overall Boosts the Spirits of Steve Fox
Berwick,
PA (9/10/2013)- Following a disappointing weekend in the ARCA
Racing Series, presented by Menards a month ago, Steve Fox of
Hazelton, PA was determined to hit the track once more. He also
had high wishes of a strong finish heading into last weekend’s
Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) events at Watkins
Glen and his wishes came true when he scored great finishes all
weekend, including a divisional win.
Running a car that was formerly driven by Matt Kenseth, Fox took
the Jim Peruto owned machine to a third place divisional finish
and ninth place overall finish on Saturday. He backed up that
feat with an impressive divisional win and third overall, which
was obviously an ego boost after such a disappointing season
thus far. The greatest aspect of the weekend was that prior to
the, Fox had never turned one single lap around “The Glen”.
“What a great car”, said Fox after the events.
“Thanks to Jim Peruto and the folks at Watkins Glen for such a
great time. It’s such a beautiful facility.”
“The place (Watkins Glen) is amazingly fast and to run it in
this 800 HP Nationwide car after disaster at Pocono was
absolutely awesome. It felt good to win and be on the podium and
I can’t wait to do it all over again.”
The next SVRA event for Fox will take place at Salem on
September 14. He is also slated to run the Kansas ARCA Racing
Series event for Wayne Hixson on October 4.LV
AIRSHOW: LAND VS. AIRLehigh Valley, PA-The Sands Lehigh Valley Airshow,
presented by Service Electric, will offer a unique opportunity
to watch not one, but two different land vs. air races!
Racing against Matt Chapman from the 4CE will be
the Steve Fox in the
2013 Impala SS NASCAR Sprint
Cup-style stock car and the 2013 Camaro SS Pocono Raceway Pace
Car. “The
Impala SS has a top speed of 170 MPH”, said Chief
Instructor/General Manager of the Pocono Stockcar Racing
Experience, Steve Fox. “I hope it can keep up”.
Steve has a vast
and varied racing background. He currently competes in the SCCA,
SVRA and ARCA series. Before his current schedule of ovals and
road courses on four wheels he started out on motorcycles and
snowmobiles, this will be his first race against an airplane!
Racing against the all-electric Brammo
Empulse R motorcycle will be
Billy Segalla from the Iron Eagles. The motorcycle is from
Eurosports in Coopersburg and will be driven by Shelina Moreda.
Moreda is the first
female to have raced a motorcycle at Indy Raceway and the only
female to be racing in the AMA Pro Harley class. Shelina races
professionally in both the United States and Europe and is one
of only four females racing motorcycles at the National level in
the United States.
Both aircraft will approach the starting line from the air. The
car and the motorcycle will get the word to start, and in both
separate cases, its full throttle to see who finishes faster!
“These two particular races are two in which you won’t often
have the opportunity to see. It is exciting to be able to
couple the thrill of flying with the thrill of racing. What
better way to do that than with the electric Brammo bike and the
Pocono Raceway stock car at the Lehigh Valley Airshow”, said
Charles Everett, Executive Director of the Lehigh-Northampton
Airport Authority.
Pocono Stockcar Racing Experience has donated two prizes for the
airshow! Included in prize #1 will be a 3 Lap Ride from StockCar
Racing Experience at Pocono Raceway. The grand prize is two
tickets to each of the 2014 NASCAR races at Pocono Raceway and a
20 Mile Drive from StockCar Racing Experience at Pocono Raceway,
valued at $1000.
Don’t miss your chance to check out this never before seen stunt
at the Lehigh Valley Airshow, or your chance at winning a grand
prize from Pocono Raceway!

Unfair to Steve Fox in 2013 Berwick, PA
(August 5, 2013)- Heading into the Modspace 125 for the ARCA
Racing Series, presented by Menards at Pocono International
raceway, Steve Fox entered last weekend confident and determined
to have a great run. After all, he and his race team purposely
missed the first Pocono event to add final touches on his #3
A&N’s Motorsports Heaven Dodge Charger. Despite all of the set
up modifications and a freshly rebuilt power plant under the
hood, Fox’s big race ended before it even started, when his
engine expired during practice, prior to the start of the race.
“It’s a huge disappointment”, note Fox when asked about
last Friday’s race.
“The team and I were so excited about this race. We put
so much time into the car, with a new set up, fresh motor and a
new sponsor (A&N’s Motorsports Heaven). It stinks, but
unfortunately, that’s how this year has gone, so we’ll pick up
the pieces and take it from there. Hopefully the engine isn’t
hurt really bad, but we’ll have to tear it down and see.”
Fox’s future plans revolve around the status of his
engine, which is the only competitive motor in the Universe
racing stable.
Dejected yet optimistic, Fox is grateful for the great
support that he has.“Despite our
non-showing at Pocono this season, there are so many people that
I want to thank. The main guy is
Tony Aquilino. Without him Universe racing wouldn’t exist and I
know that he’s disappointed, but he also understands that it’s
all part of the game.”Fox
Content with NJMP Finish; Ready for Modspace 125 at Pocono
Berwick, PA (July 28, 2013)- Following a decent 19th
place qualifying effort Saturday for the Barbera’s Autoland 150
presented by Driven racing Oil at New Jersey Motorsports Park,
Steve Fox of Hazelton, PA suffered brake issue and still
salvaged a 24th place effort in the Wayne Peterson
owned #0. It was Fox’s first start of the season in the ARCA
Racing Series presented by Menards and he’ll be back in the #3 A
& N's Motorsports Heaven Dodge Charger for next weekend’s
Modspace 125 event at Pocono.
“I really have to thank Wayne Peterson and his bunch for
giving me this opportunity”, said Fox.
“Despite being a super speedway car with minor changes for
the road course, it was a lot of fun and the car was good. It’s too
bad that the brakes went out, but the seat time will help a lot and
I’m ready to get back behind the wheel next weekend. We’ve made a
lot of improvements and changes to that car and I’m hoping for big
things in the Modspace 125 at Pocono.” Fox will
be signing autographs at the A & N's Motorsports Heaven booth at
Pocono Raceway on August 2nd from 11:00 to 11:30 AM and a lucky fan
in attendance will have a shot at winning a ride with Fox in a real
Stockcar at the StockCar Racing Experience at Pocono Raceway. Also, the no. 3
ARCA racecar will be on display at their booth at Pocono on August
3rd and 4th.
Qualifying for the Modspace 125 at Pocono is slated for 1:15
PM on Friday, August 2 and the Modspace 125 will kick off on the
same day at 5:15 PM. The event will air LIVE on Speed at 5 PM.
A & N's Motorsports Heaven Teams Up With ARCA Driver, Steve Fox
Berwick, PA (July 19, 2013)- Steve Fox and Universe Racing are proud
to announce an alliance with A & N's Motorsports Heaven in the ARCA
Racing Series, presented by Menards. The A & N's Motorsports Heaven
brand will appear on the # 3 Universe racing Dodge Charger beginning
next weekend for the Barbera’s Autoland 150, preseneted by Driven Racing
Oil at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.
Founded in 2011 and located in Reading PA, A & N’s Motorsports
Heaven’s founders, Amanda Eshenour and Norm Hutton, decided to, for a
small fee, offer car storage to collectors. Their idea however is
unique, as being that even though most collectors don’t use their cars
every day, they still require access to them and for the cars to be
taken care of. This is just one of many services that A & N's
Motorsports Heaven does provide.
According to their website and in addition to the collector car
housing, they also offer a service to sell vehicles for collectors who
may not have the time, or collector’s families who may have inherited
their cars. They also offer research for restorers who need parts and
detailing of cars to make them ready for car shows.
“There’s no doubt whatsoever that A & N not only knows the
collector car market, but they also know about vintage racecars”, noted
Steve Fox. " These cars represent a sizable investment and are
appreciating in value all the time. That is why professionals like
Amanda and Norm are in such demand and are also such a needed resource
in this market. "
“Their facility is spotless, it’s heated in the winter, and it’s
easily accessible and definitely affordable. Both Amanda and Norm own a
lot of vintage racecars and they house them at their facility. It’s just
an amazing place.”
A & N’s Motorsports Heaven can be visited on the web at
aandnsmotorsportsheaven.com.
Their website has a boatload of information and it even includes a
listing of their own personal collection, some of which will be on
display at Pocono International raceway from August 2nd through the 4th.
Like Universe racing, A & N’s Motorsports Heaven can also be found on
Facebook.

Steve Fox Forced to Sit Out ARCA Event at
Pocono
Berwick, PA (June 6, 2013)- After thrashing in the garage over
the last few months in anticipation for the upcoming ARCA 200,
presented by Menards, all of the hard work still wasn’t enough
to get Steve Fox and the Universe Racing team on track for this
weekends event at Pocono International Raceway.
“We just ran out of time”, noted Fox, who had high hopes
of scoring his best career finish this Saturday.
“It’s so unfortunate for all of our sponsors and
supporters”, he noted. “If it wasn’t one thing, it was another.
We sent the engine out to be refreshed and we got that back
late. Then there was interference with the bell housing, along
with smaller issues here and there. We’ll get everything worked
out in time for the next Pocono event, but we want to do this
right and not be in a hurry with the risk of overlooking
something”.
Still optimistic about the work that needs to be done,
Fox said, “Like Bill Leverty sang on his latest album, ‘DRIVE’,
I got, got, got no time”.
“We’ll keep working and hopefully the
results show on August 2nd in the Pennsylvania ARCA
125 at Pocono”.
Steve Fox Impressive with Two Podium
Finishes in SVRA Sebring Endurance Classic
Sebring, FL (March 9, 2013)- Once again, Steve Fox of Hazelton,
PA has rejoined with Jim Peruto
to compete in the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association's
"Sebring Endurance Classic" in Sebring, FL. Although Fox
suffered mechanical woes during the event last year, he was
determined to have a better effort this year, and indeed he did.
Fox tested the car on Thursday and had a so-so qualifying
effort on Friday, which prompted changes prior to race day. He
finished out Saturday’s event with a third place finish and then
bettered that feat Sunday with a runner up finish in the Keenen
Motorsports entry.
“The greatest thing about the entire weekend was being able to
have the leader in my sights at the end of the race”, noted Fox.
“We had a really great car, as did Jim (Peruto) in the Trans Am
series race. It’s tool bad that he suffered mechanical issues,
but he did manage to finish 12th.”
With a lift in spirit after the events, Fox looks forward to
the upcoming season and the tracks that it has in store.
“This
will help me for a big 2013, where I’ll be running both ARCA
Racing Series events at Pocono and both ARCA road course races
at New Jersey Motorsports Park and Road America. Our plans
include the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Pocono
and hopefully the K & N East Series, but we’re still trying to
find a new marketing partner to make it happen.”

and Jim Peruto Rejoin for SVRA Sebring Endurance Classic
(February 18, 2013)- With the intend to run more races this
season than years past, Steve Fox of Hazelton, PA has rejoined
with Jim Peruto to once again compete in the Sports Vintage
Racing Association's "Sebring Endurance Classic". The event,
which is held in Sebring, FL, attracts many motorsports
enthusiasts and this season should be no different, as Fox is
fired up for the three-day event.
Like last season, Fox will take to the track in a stockcar
that was formerly driven by 2012 Daytona 500 winner, Matt
Kenseth. The car is a gem of sorts, as it is one of the only
Chevrolets that Kenseth had driven in his NASCAR career.
Fox and Peruto had a great run in the early portion of last
season’s event before a broken panhard bar sidelined the team.
The first day of events will kick off on Friday, March 1st
and will continue through Sunday, March 3. For more information
